Biography
“There is no such thing as a perfect wedding or event.” This is one of the first things that Cindy Williquette, founder of Silhouettes Events, tells her clients. “We work tirelessly to produce seemingly flawless events and we constantly manage the hurdles that arise on every event.” By being a realist and extremely proactive, Cindy has become one of Wisconsin’s premier event planners.
Cindy began her event career in the mid-eighties, working at a golf resort, hotel sales/catering departments and bartending. Without finding a job in Public Relations after college, she went to work at an area party rental store and became enthralled with event planning. Not only did she master spatial planning and event logistics, she also became a trusted resource for caterers, florists, musicians, etc.
Cindy started her first event company in 1997, having storefronts in Green Bay and Door County, Wisconsin. She became a Certified Wedding Specialist (National Bridal Assoc.) in 1997. She published “Silhouettes Wedding Planner & Organizer” in 2004. Over the years, she has worked with clients from all over the country and Europe. Cindy has had the great pleasure of working with several celebrities and “celebrity event professionals.”
She recently has hosted a live wedding on NBC and named one of “the knot’s best of wedding picks” in Wisconsin.
She has been described as having “meticulous organization skills” and “down-to-earth people skills.” Combining this with over two decades of practical experience, Cindy enthusiastically continues to manage “imperfect events!”
